The Modules and dates for the 500-hour Program:

The Yoga Loft is now in its fifth year of Yoga-Alliance certified Teacher Training. Our current programs have been based on the 200-hour model set forth by the internationally recognized standards group. In 2008, we are offering several 5.5-hour modules that will allow students (from any YA-resgistered school) holding a 200-hour certificate to start building toward their 500 hours.* These advanced studies intensives are also open to those of you not following any certification program but looking to study more deeply in certain areas. Currently, there are 9 modules offered; check back to this page for Spring/Summer/Fall modules.

These modules take place on Saturdays from 12:30-6pm and the cost for each is $125.

Note that the following modules are offered this Winter and Spring and count as 5.5 hours contact hours each toward 500. These hours fall into the category of Techniques - Training/Practice and are taught by the Primary 500-Hour ERYT, Tony Briggs.

* Students holding a 200-hour certification need to add 300 hours. The Yoga Loft is offering modules that allow students to build toward 500-hour YA certification. As with the 200-hour certification, YA requires that students take a certain amount of hours of classes in different categories to fulfill requirements. The Yoga Loft's program is on-going series of modules that builds above the required hours, offering a variety of classes and teachers but also requires students to track their own studies and hours. We have provided a grid for students to assist in tracking hours. For information on the Yoga Alliance requirements for 500 hours of training, refer to the following document:
